Dot com now trading as EBS Marketing
Jamie Mc Dougal is now behind another company with the same scam selling Google Adwords. The company is now called EBS Marketing based in Manchester, I believe at the same address as dot com. I checked with companies house and a company called EBS Marketing Ltd was dissolved in February 2014, not sure if they are associated in any way. EBS Marketing are selling in exactly the same way as dot com, taking credit card payments over the phone, making you think they are google and only when you have paid the fee mention EBS. It's very difficult to cancel a payment by debit card once a transaction has been completed. I tried to cancel our transaction with Visa Debit within 2 hours of the transaction and they would not do it. I will be reporting this to a new organisation run by North West Trading Standards called "Scambusters" and see what they can do about this guy and his henchmen.

Conman who duped elderly jailed Neale was selling security equipment at inflated prices A man who used the identity of his dead childhood sweetheart to steal thousands from elderly women has been jailed. Barry Neale, 47, of Firswood Mount in Gatley, Greater Manchester, conned elderly people into buying security equipment they did not need. Neale, who worked as a door-to-door salesman, admitted multiple deception charges and was jailed for four years. He worked with his wife Amanda, 45, who was given a 12-month suspended sentence at Minshull Street Crown Court. The court heard he used the identity of Susan Whiteley, who had died some years before from cancer, to set up bank accounts and register companies. He set up bank accounts in the name of Susan Whiteley Neale then called on vulnerable people and pressured them into buying security systems at more than 10 times their true value, the court in Manchester heard. He then used the money to buy a £250,000 house in Gatley and expensive sports cars, including a Porsche Boxster, an S-Type Jaguar and a BMW. The court was told he often stayed at his victims' homes for many hours, sometimes refusing to leave unless they agreed to buy the kit. You live a comfortable, if not extravagant, lifestyle Judge Andrew Locock On one occasion he talked a woman who was almost blind into buying a video entry system. She later told police she was "ready to lie down and die" and gave him the money just to get rid of him. He also told a 90-year-old woman her house was "vulnerable to devils". Judge Andrew Locock said Neale was "despicable" and should expect "no mercy". "This crime displayed a high level of pre-planning and sophistication," he said. "You live a comfortable, if not extravagant, lifestyle. "It's quite clear your conduct went way beyond what was acceptable behaviour." Outside the court, the family of Susan Whiteley thanked the police, Trading Standards, and praised BBC reporter Jayne Barrett for bringing the case to the attention of the authorities.

Scam company. AVOID like the plague!
Nothing but trouble this company! I worked for them, but don't any more thankfully! It's a nightmare. They are scamming customers right left and center AND bragging about it. Whilst I was there, I heard one employee phone a customer and out right tell them that they were calling from GOOGLE and I heard one employee who calls himself Charles calling from 'maxmedia it solutions' hurl all sorts of abuse to a woman down the phone because she allegedly owed 'dot com chrome' a sum of money and maxmedia it solutions have 'bought out' dot com chrome's database now, so all debts go to maxmedia.... What a load of ***! These people all need locking up!!!!! Their current websites that I know of are: www.edgeppc.com, www.edgeppc.eu, www.edgeds.eu, www.edgedevs.eu, http://www.contentmediaguru.biz/ and god knows what else. And they are operating under so many different names: dot com chrome, dot com platinum, edge development systems, edge development inc, maxmedia it solutions, and that's the only ones I can think of but I'm sure I heard more names pulled out of the hat whilst I was working there!! The address that they are working from is: 4th Floor 56 Princess Street Manchester M1 6HS (not Liverpool road!) and yes, owners ARE JAMIE MCDOUGAL AND ZAC LEONARD... regardless of what the company is registered under!!

Trying to cancel membership but no way to reach them.
I sent two emails cancelling my membership to Dot Com Chrome. Finally on the second email someone from their company called me and I told them to cancel my membership. They insisted that I keep the membership and would not take no for an answer. I finally hung up on them. They did quit drafting my bank account for 3 months and this month they drafted my account for this month plus the following 2 months for a total of $600. I went to my bank and reversed the charges and they are still trying to draft my account. I cannot locate a phone number to call them and when they call me their phone number is blocked. How convenient for them. It is impossible to reach them.

Sold me empty promises; refused to cancel; then Collection
After selling me their website promotion service (promising to put me on the first page of Google with four specific search terms), they sent me a written description of their services. Largely gobbledy ***, I figured out two things: 1. their search terms had to be typed by the searcher exactly as they worded them; 2. their automatic charges to my credit card would always be a month ahead, making it very difficult to stop the charges. Put it this way: How much would you be willing to pay to be on the first page of Google with this search: Bronze sculpture in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts? If ANYONE ever made such a search, you would surely be on the fist page of Google, without their help. Their service was a sham. So I immediately went to their cancellation site. To do it I had to answer a barrage of questions, most of which I didn't understand. But I persevered, answering the wrong until I finally got them right (hours of work). I finally got to the last question: my phone number. I typed it again and again, each time having to start the whole process over, but it kept telling my the number was wrong, which it was not. So I typed out a written cancellation and mailed it certified to the New York address they provided. It was returned to me as "Refused Delivery." I disputed the credit card charge, so now I'm in collection. AVOID COM.CHROME LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Dot com chrome terrible customer service
Canvasser who rang from this so called company sold me the package over the phone it sounded good and resonable price .Promised for a fixed fee i would be on page 1 of google on the sponsored listings 24/7.After many complaints to customer services and there tech support team at dotcomchrome with rude responses i cancelled and would suggest people avoid this unprofessional company to this date there canvassers still phone saying there service is better now and will i try it again.Not on your life id rather throw my money out of the office door .I have since spoke to credit card comapny to get a refund due to evidence i have got against this so called company

Trying to escape the cluthes of .com chrome
I hope I've nipped this den of thieves in the bud. Three days ago I signed on. They have an involved call-back system to sink the hook in you. I gave them my VISA, no one having mentioned that, while I was paying by the month, they got to make a charge every month without any action on my part! After discovering that tidbit, I reread the ten-page paper that they emailed me, and the horror took over. Give them credit, the promises they had made over the phone were all retracted -- seems like it would take months, maybe more, for their promtional efforts to show up on Google, maybe never. Seems like people would have to type the complete name of the search terms I had chosen -- like "wooden sculpture massachusetts" -- like how many people can spell massachusetts, or would ever type it out completely. Seems like they have no phone contact, only email. Uh huh. But wait! They have a streamlined termination process, you can shut them off any time you want by going to "Chrome Marketing!!!". Woops. Crawling backwards through the eye of needle is easier. They give you a name and password, which are an endless set of cap and small letters, and digits. So you perserve, for you can hear your VISA account screaming for mercy. Seems like you need to complete a questionaire !!!!! before they will complete your application to suspend (suspend??) membership. Each and every item must be correct, or a red X shows up that means it's not complete! I failed on a number of entries -- I had no idea what they were talking about and couldn't guess. But the one that fried me, was that I failed to successfully enter my own telephone numbers!! On reflection, they might have required that I enter the country code for them (whatever that is), but they never mentioned it. This is one disastrous operation. At this point they still have their hooks in me, but I'm trusting that a challenge with VISA will solve it (though VISA by now should have terminated them). DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH .COM CHROME.

New name same scam!
This company is now trading as Social Networking Reg number 0744**** same Zac Leonard... Be warned! Face book - Adverts! I have paid up front but no advert, the phone rings without an answer. Looks like the same people and the same scam, they told me the call was recorded I need to give a months notice to cancel. This is a rolling month by moth contract, I have not had a proof of the advert or the free Facebook page! The log on details do not work the 24 hour help desk is not contactable! Please do not et involved!

I wish they would though! hard men of the north allegedly yet wont meet face to face! What a joke! Their leaders Jamie and Zac are the biggest fraudsters going, can cel your cards, you wont get anything by taking them to courts etc as they wont show, they are finished and will end up selling nothing, I would take your losses, start over and look for genuine companies that deliver what they promise, there are plenty of them out there, a complet and utter joke of a company.

Taken money from our bank account after we cancelled
We have just received a cheque from Altrincham County Court for well over £1000 (WHOOO-HOOOO) for money stolen from our bank account by DOT COM CHROME. These people are fraudsters. We used them for a couple of months and wrote to them to cancel the contract. They then continued to take money from our account. We tried to deal with them in a reasonable manner to get this money back (emails available to confirm) but these peope are not reasonable. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. We had to threaten them with legal action and they laughed at us. So we did. And the result....£1100 in the post this morning. I hope the directors of DOT COM CHROME are reading this, can I suggest that you change your name to *** *** CHROME at least this reflects the staff who work there. The directors should all resign as they are ALL incapable of running a business, maybe they should all work at Macdonalds....would you like fries with that!!!! HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!!!!! I simply could not wait to write on this website about that *** company and bad attitude of the staff. By far, the worst company we have ever dealt with. UTTER *** *****YOU LOST *** *** CHROME. I WON... AS PROMISED*****

Received a letter from a company called The Insolvency Service the other day saying that;
"Claire Foster and Gemma Roberts of Wilson Field Limited were appointed Administrators of .com Chrome Limited"
Well, well, well, looks like .com chrome really were a *** company...flash offices...flash cars and a gobby meathead somewhere in Manchester to shout and swear at people. So, it is at last been proven, they really were ***.
I am off to change my trousers now, cos they are wet through from p!ssing myself laughing.

Poor Employers
A family member of my started work with this company and left after only one day because he was appualed by the way the business is run and the fear of not getting paid. It seems they promised people a basic salary, but after only one weeks service they change it to commission only. One of their staff had been working there for 3 weeks and was due two weeks payment and instead he got kicked out of the offices for complaining that he had not been paid. They rip off both customers and employees. A poor excuse for a business.

No Smile Srevice and a *** trick
This company is like many others, they accept orders by email and verbal but will not accept cancellations the same way. You cannot cancel by registered letter as it comes back "gone away" of not signed for. They are abusive, rude, distracting and definitely NOTHING to do with Google which they intimate. Maurice (Dot Chrome) has phoned me up seven times under different guises, the last one as their legel department. Not surprising they need one with the complaints they have. Do nothing with this company. We have attempted to gain "what they have done" and they cannot even show what they have done. We have evidence that they haven't done it but they still chase for money hoping for a settlement....

Cold calling, claiming he was from Google.
So this morning when I was updating our company's profile on Freeindex, my colleague received a call from a pushy yet polite mancunian bloke stating he was from Google. Wow! Google are calling ME?! Of course not. Immediately I knew what to expect, another pushy SEO/marketing company trying to overcharge me for some *** PPC campaign, and I was right. Firstly, the chap claimed to be from Google. Now, I'm a web developer of several years experience and have been in this game just about long enough to know the tricks these companies use to fleece those who know very little. These companies are in no way affiliated with Google, and they DO NOT hold a 'special relationship' with Google. In fact, it's quite the opposite. These companies are very often sued by Google for lying and using their branding on their services. The chap later goes on to state that the service he is offering is a 'fixed fee' AdWords campaign which is DIFFERENT to PPC as customers are becoming disgruntled with Google's AdWords service. Absolute rubbish! AdWords is the most successful method to get visitors quickly and an excellent ROI, particularly on long tail product keywords. The only way I can think of that this 'fixed fee' service works is that they will put a maximum bid on an AdWords campaign set up for you. As soon as the campaign reaches that maximum bid, the campaign will be paused so you won't be listed for the rest of that month. They will probably add a hefty service charge on top of this. I wouldn't be surprised if they put a maximum bid of £5 for the month, making them a couple of hundred quid profit on top, or even not bother setting up a campaign at all. So to achieve a half-decent ROI using their 'fixed fee' service, your business would need to be in a very, very popular niche. Avoid them at all costs. From my experience, the best way to marklet your business through AdWords, is by yourself. It would take a couple of hours for you to learn to use, identify good keywords, and get a campaign up and running. Of course, some people do not have the time, but find a computer savvy friend or reliable web design company to do this, if you really need to.

when they call you you will think they are repuatable company,they will rip you off the only that you can get out of there contract is to cancell you credit card then they will abuse you and send you lots of e mails telling all sorts that your credit card company will have to pay them a charge back because we cancelled it and that is fruad ,,,,.the last e mail that i got back from them starts off you fat *** ,how delightfull,,,the people behind dot chrome google are criminals that will rob you every chance they get, stop the card at once ,call your bank and get them to change your account number .i hope this stops you from being riped off ,rember dot chrome google is a rip off

I wonder how many of us have had our payments to dot chrome via Paypal cancelled. Dot Chrome alledgedly(!) say they have cancelled their account with Paypal because they were being scammed.
Seems they want us to pay using a credit card or our bank account. Fat chance.

I have had the same problem with this company. They told me they were owed money 18 months ago, i tried to cancel and asked them to also send me an invoice as i would no longer deal with them on the phone, they refused.
Tried to cancel but they again wouldnt accept this.
Now they have send me a solicitors letter for £1937.48 i owe them.
I am reporting them to trading standards and will be in touch with my solicitor also

Zac Leonard lives in Alderly Edge married to Emma Harris Jamies sister aka Emma Leonard. Absolute rip off. I am a Private Investigator and I am going to rip this company apart. Sales office address is 56 Princess Street, Manchester facing Canal Street. The other office is still Marsland House in Sale M33 3AQ. Yasmin Leonard is sister of Zac who works in Sale. Ryan Leonard brother also works in Sale. Jamie provides staff with cocaine on a Friday and is having numourous affairs with staff including a member of my staff who was planted and has recorded every thing what goes on in that business.
